Keep in Check support
Questions, problems or something that looks wrong? Write to alvintang500@gmail.com. It helps to say which iPhone you have, its iOS version, and what you tapped just before.
Where is my data?
On your iPhone, and nowhere else. Keep in Check has no account and no server, so we cannot see or recover what you enter. If you have iPhone backups switched on, Apple includes the app’s data in them like any other app’s.
How do I back up, or move to a new phone?
Go to Settings › Backup and restore › Save a full backup, and keep the file somewhere safe. On the other phone, install the same version of the app and choose Restore from a backup. A backup file can only be restored by the app version that made it.
How do I delete everything?
Settings › Clear all data removes every record from the app. It cannot be undone, so save a backup first if you may want it again.
The AI advisor
The advisor is optional. It is an AI model that you download once (1.3 GB or more, so use Wi-Fi) and that then runs entirely on your phone. Set it up in Settings › Set up AI model, and remove it in Settings › Remove AI model. It can be wrong, and it does not give licensed financial advice. To report a reply, press and hold it and choose Report by email.
Back Tap and Apple Pay capture
Both are optional shortcuts for logging an expense quickly, and both have a step-by-step guide in Settings under Quick Capture. Apple Pay capture works with in-store tap-to-pay purchases.
My daily budget looks wrong
Open Finance and check your net monthly income, savings and monthly expenses. If the app has drifted from your bank, choose Update balance and enter what your bank shows today: the rest of the month is recalculated from real money.
